  1. Hi there,
AM enjoying this website and your poached egg one. Am thinking very seriously of joining rensberg hobart weight loss clinic. However, for some reason still hesitant. I have done the first seminar but would really like your feedback if you think it is worth doing. What worries me is that many people seem to put the weight back on. Your feedback would be greatly welcome.

  2. Hi Carmen,

Thanks for your comments. In one word I totally think it’s worth doing it. It’s hard work and yes, sometimes you will put the weight back on. The way I look at it though is it’s better to keep striving and watching what you’re eating than just giving up and saying ‘stuff it – this is the size I’m suppose to be’… Well that’s how I am anyway.

Anytime you take a stand and say yes to your health and no to feeling horrible (like I did) that’s got to be a good thing.

There are no special answers or quick fixes. You will know from the seminar that if you’re not careful for the rest of your life you will get fat again. I have put on about 10kgs since my first time there – just under 1/2 the weight I lost. That’s not OK by me.

But now I have the tools to feel good again. Surely you deserve that?

Thanks for the comments about my poached eggs. They’re my little treat (not on Rensburg) but it’s only sometimes.

Good luck and just go for it I say. You have nothing to loose but kgs after all.

    C x

  3. Thanks Carolyn. Yeah I will start next month then. Where are you now with your weight loss?HOw many more weeks till you are on maintenance?
    Warmest wishes

  4. I don’t think I will be on maintenance for a while. I am 86kgs and want to get down to about 65kgs. That’s OK though. Slowly slowly wins the race. I am going to do a post about ‘coming clean’ today once I get out of my meeting. How much do you have to loose? Thanks for reaching out. Always here for a chat, advice etc. I know how hard it is but it’s so worth it. Did you read all my posts about the first time I did it? C x

  5. Hi Carolyn

Yes I did read all your posts from pervious effort I think. . It was in a booklet form right? I have about a stone and a half to lose.( around 10 kilos) I have young kids and am starting to feel my age ( 47 in October) and want to look my best and not settle for fat stomach. It is so much harder when you get older I find.
It is hard as I eat when stressed and I do really well for around 2 -3 months then fall off the bandwagon !
I am booked to see the doctor 12 April 2012.
How was maintenance. Was it a lot easier?

  6. A girl I know has lost so much weight and looks amazing. It has transformed her.

  7. Carmen I have not officially been on maintenance yet. I am turning 46 this year and also want to be the best I can be. My best friend is booked to see the Dr. on the 13th. This is her second time as well. Don’t worry – you will rock it – 10kgs is good.
